Art Club Johannesburg: Specialists’ Highlights

Specialists Discuss Highlights from the Online October Focus Sales, 2026

Tiyani Rikhotso will discuss an exciting collection of works by the underappreciated artist Sidney Golblatt, presented in one of our October Art Focus sales. She will trace the influences that shaped Goldblatt’s artistic practice and highlight the creative freedom celebrated in the works on offer.

Following this, Wilhem van Rensburg, will speak about Zines as an alternative space for showcasing art, focusing on independent publications from the 1960s and 1970s. The selection of Zines in our October Art Focus includes original artworks by well-known artists such as Walter Battiss, Norman Catherine and Christo Coetzee.
