Photography Workshop and Preview of the Online May Auctions, 2026

Strauss & Co is pleased to host its latest Art Club event in Cape Town. The evening features an in-depth look at Framing a New Nation: The Garth Walker Photography Collection and Other Properties, alongside other notable artworks from the May ART auction.

Led by Amy Coningsby and Leigh Leyde, the workshop focuses on the technical and aesthetic elements that define a significant photographic work. Beyond the theory, attendees will participate in a hands-on photography workshop to sharpen their own visual eye. A competition will be held during the event, with the creator of the standout image receiving a Strauss & Co voucher to put towards their future collection.
