Tim Watson
Gemmologist
South African gemmologist Tim Watson completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Cape Town. After successfully becoming a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), he managed the Jewellery Council of South Africa’s Diamond Certification Laboratory.
As the founder member of one of the country’s leading jewellery groups, his 40 years of business expertise covers diamond and gemstone wholesale and jewellery manufacturing. His business interests have enabled him to trade in diamonds, gemstones and jewellery in many of the world’s leading trading centres.
Tim has held executive positions in the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa, and has a particular interest in rare precious gemstones and fancy coloured diamonds.
