Hair Stories | Open Mic Night

Hair Stories offers an intimate evening of poetry, spoken word, and music inspired by personal and collective experiences of hair. The event invites participants to share their own stories or simply listen as others explore themes of identity, heritage, and memory. All are welcome to take part in this celebration of diverse narratives.

The Exhibition

The Hair Matters exhibition will run from 1 December – 16 January at Lemkus Gallery.

Upcoming Auction

Hair Matters: A Selection of Works from The Georgina Jaffee Collection will go under the hammer at Strauss & Co on Saturday, 21 February 2026. Auction preview opens at Strauss & Co Cape Town from 26 January 2026.
